Cooking is the heart of our lives and I believe it should always be fun. I love throwing some music on and dancing while I prepare dinner or just the sheer excitement of making up a (successful) recipe using ingredients on hand. Cooking is a way to show your creativity and love, it nourishes us on so many levels.
So I hope you find inspiration on my website. My name is Jenna and I’m so grateful to share my recipes and journey with you! I am a full time worker and graduate student trying to make sense of what foods are best for my body and how to live a healthy and fulfilling life. I’ve learned a lot since I started researching nutrition and have made some huge changes to my every day life and beliefs.
I don’t pretend to know all the answers and believe that every person should find what food is best for their body. For the most part though, this website will include recipes with fresh, whole foods (vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, meats, high quality fats, and eggs) which I believe are the best for my body at this time. I try my best to not eat sugar, grains, soy, corn, processed foods, or dairy.
I’ve also realized that focusing on the good and what I want in life helps me just as much as eating my vegetables. Enjoying time outside with my dogs, feeling thankful, and positive is a major part of my life. I am starting to exercise more and listening to what my body needs. And most importantly, I’ve learned I always have a choice.
